I am a Philadelphia native, summa cum laude graduate of Philadelphia High School for Girls, and obtained my Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University, graduating with Honors. After receiving a Juris Doctor degree from Villanova Law School, I was admitted to practice in 1988. I served as a judicial law clerk to a magistrate in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. I worked for the City of Philadelphia Law Department from 1991-2016 and retired as a Senior Attorney. My practice focused on litigating a broad range of complex civil matters including tort defense, Administrative Law, prosecution for Code Enforcement violations, real estate matters, contract disputes, and defense of municipal entities and officers from a wide range of general civil claims.
My litigation experience included preparation of numerous pleadings, briefs, motions, legal memoranda, discovery documents, and legal research. I have been a speaker at conferences and seminars on many of these topics. I was honored in 2010 and recognized for my work as Chair of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Mortgage Foreclosure Steering Committee.
This program was credited with saving many homes from foreclosure in the aftermath of the 2008 recession. Presently I am working with Special Counsel and Morgan Lewis. I have been a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association and Lawyers Club of Philadelphia.
